Robinvale Hospital Maternal Child Health – SHRCC

Maternal and Child Health Nurses monitor the health, growth and development of babies and children ages 0-6 years, provide support and information on health and parenting issues, and are a valuable resource to families with young children.


The growth and development of children is monitored, referrals are facilitated to other allied health and specialist agencies; including early education programs; immunization providers, NDIS service providers, family support agencies, orange door.

Support is also provided for parents to ensure wellbeing, appropriate referrals to specialist programs / providers if needed, connection to social opportunities for families. New parents are supported with a new parents group. Sleep and settling support for families experiencing difficulties with child sleep is offered. Support with material aid is provided to families that meet the required eligibility criteria.

There are a number of different programs that are run at Robinvale including:

  • New Parents Group
