Counselling Department – SHDH

The Counseling Department is part of SHDH. We offer free confidential support for mental health and wellbeing as well as support around problematic alcohol and other drug use. We offer support on relationship stress, grief, parent support and support in times of other transitions in life.

Services offered include the following:

  • Relationship and Family Counselling
  • Grief and Loss Counselling
  • Stress, Anxiety and Mild Depression Counselling
  • Psychological 1st Aid for Trauma Management
  • Anger Management
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling and Management – including:
  • Needle exchange available from Swan Hill District Health Emergency Department with a secondary site now available at Counselling Services, Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm. Also available from Marraboor Pharmacy, Priceline Pharmacy and Mallee District Aboriginal Service (M.D.A.S)
