During the event\, the Swan Hill Lions Club will remove one screw from the front and rear number plates of participating vehicles and replace it with a security screw that requires a special tool to remove. \nAlongside this practical safety initiative\, the event will provide an opportunity for community members to connect\, learn about safety and show their support for a safer\, more inclusive community. \nAs part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence\, the event will include informal discussions about respect\, healthy relationships and the role we can all play in creating safer communities. \nCommunity members will also have access to Domestic Violence (DV) Safe Phone collection boxes. These phones can provide an important resource for people experiencing violence\, helping support their safety and access to assistance. \nVictoria Police will also be attending to share information and promote community safety. \nWhether you’re attending to have security screws fitted to your vehicle\, learn more about community safety or show your support for respectful relationships\, everyone is welcome.
